5 medals for Sherstyuk at  the Youth A World Championships

Already youth A World Champion 2005 , the Egyptian  Hefny wins also in 2007. The Silver medal is for the Russian Sherstyuk, World champion 2006. 3rd is Demeter (Hun), who takes the podium after an exciting running.

Belarus, Poland and Russia take the team medals.

Also this time the athletes compete in the combined form in the day after the final. Sherstyuk takes gold with the new event. The Russian, already gold with this form and Silver in the traditional competition at the European championships, confirms to be the best athlete under 18 about constancy. Silver and bronze ones are for Romankov (Blr) e Peixoto (Ger). the team of Belarus wins, followed by Russia and Poland. Also this time, as it happenned in  European champioships, Hayanousky is the best specialist in the combined event, finishing the competition at the 4th place. He can be happy because with Pinchuk and Romankov, in the relay competition, wins the 3rd gold medal with the team. He etablishes also the new youth A shooting record with 193 target points (you can see that in the area “Statistics”).

In the women, with Toth absent, Cseh finally wins, already Silver at the European championships youth A and junior. Silver medal is for Khuraskina (Rus), who wins the fencing and makes a wonderful running. Bronze for Eudes (Fra).

Russia , Great Britain e Hungary are on the team podium.

In the combined form, with the Hungarian team again absent, wins Eudes (Fra). Her team mate Bartoli, finishes 3rd, winning the combined event. Silver for Schleu (Ger), who wins in the team with Von and Hackel. Silver and bronze are for Egypt and Poland.

In the relay competition the Great Britain wins followed by Hungary and Poland.

In this second experiment for the combined event many rules are changed, making it more similar to the form that will be probably used, from 2009.
