Cairo: junior World Championships

www.efmpentahlon.orgLast week Cairo hosted the junior World Championships. The best juniores in the world gathered there to compete and achieve the title of World Champion.

The individual women competition has been won by the local athlete Medany Aya; two hungarian girls completed the podium: Cseh Krisztina and the young Kovacs Sarolta.

In the team competition Hungary won the gold medal, Russia the silver and Egypt the bronze one.

The hungarian team won also the relay women competition with the two individual silver and bronze medallists, Cseh and Kovacs, and Toth. Silver medal to Great Britain and Bronze to Czech Republic

The russian Karyakin achieved the gold medal in the individual men competition, the italian Petroni won the silver and the greek Motsios the bronze one.

The gold medallist Karyakin won also the gold in team competition, followed by Belarus and Poland.

Relay World Championships - Italy gold medal - Poland silver medal - Russia bronze medalIn the relay men competion Italy won for the third year the gold medal with Petroni, Giancamilli and Certelli, Poland achieved the silver and Russia the bronze one.
