The new competition format for modern pentathlon from 1 January 2009 will be with the Combined event.
The competition will start with the Fencing, then there will be the Swimming, then Riding and, at the end, the Combined Event.
The start of the combined will be with the Handicap system, there will be a  short run to let athletes reach to the shooting range, then  the first 5 shots, 1 km run, others 5 shots, another 1 km run, again 5 shots and then the last 1 km run.
Penalities, points, and others important informations will be communicate as soon as possible. .
