In the woman competition Amelie Caze (Fra) won her 3rd seniores world championships. In the history of woman pentathlon only Fijellerup did better with 4 gold medals.
Silver medal for Rimsaite (Ltu) and bronze one for the Olympic champion Schoneborn (Ger). 
France won the Team competition followed by Great Britain and Germany.
In the Team Relay competition the podium was Russia, France and China.
Karyakin (Rus), won the men championships. Behind him Lesun (Rus) and Kinderis (Ltu). With Karyakin out of the Russian team, Lituania won the team Competition. Silver and bronze medals were for Czech Republic and Hungary.
The Team Relay podium was Bielorussia, Korea and Russia.
The team of Poland won the Mixed Relay, followed by Ukraina and Lituania.
